Powered by AMD Quad-Core Opteron technology

AMD®'s Third Generation Opteron processors now feature Quad-Core technology.  They continue to be linked by DirectConnect® technology, which maximizes the speed at which the cores, memory and other board-level components can communicate with each other.  The performance of the Opteron processing cores has also improved, especially for floating point computation, which means better performance for rendering and solving complex visual effects such as cloth and fluid.  Of course, the Opteron processor still includes the famed integrated memory controller which greatly reduces traditional bottlenecks between the central processing unit and memory.

“We stepped up to BOXX over the Intergraph Workstations we had previously and have experienced a tremendous boost in productivity. There is a lot of power in these machines. We do mostly HD and Film Resolution post production and rely on our BOXX Workstations for close to 90 percent of everything we do. Not only do we get great performance from our BOXX systems, we get excellent advice and support from BOXX’s customer support team.”
