redBOXX II is the production through post solution for real-time RED ONE dailies, pre-grading, transcoding, conforming, and final finishing to distribution formats.
The powerful redBOXX II arrives preconfigured with ASSIMILATE™ SCRATCH CINE® software and delivers 24fps and 30fps real-time playback of most RED ONE camera modes for 2K and HD dailies, as well as processing power to transcode data into file formats like DPX, QuickTime, TIFF, TARGA, and Avid® DNxHD.
redBOXX II features real-time, one-light grading and HD-SDI playout at HD (720 & 1080) and 2K resolutions. In addition, 10bit RGB 4:4:4 decoding and processing of 4K .R3D (RED ONE) camera footage delivers real-time, final print quality output (HD and SD), and even faster than real-time transcoding to DPX.
redBOXX II is powered by the revolutionary technology of a Quad-Core, performance-enhanced Intel® Core™ i7 Processor (4GHz).
The versatile redBOXX II works like a virtual telecine or virtual VTR for RED ONE data and also provides conforming and final finishing for delivery to all industry standard distribution formats.
"Clock-locked" 4-channel AES-EBU (XLR) digital audio output enables the redBOXX to deliver superior sound quality—essential for viewing dailies or outputting to standard industry formats.
