BOXX's Tenth SIGGRAPH!
SIGGRAPH is always a big event for BOXX because so many BOXX users take time from their projects and deadlines to see the latest crop of technologies created for the visual effects industry. It is also a fantastic opportunity for us to make direct contact with so many of you who push the envelope every day.
In this tenth year, we had a chance to reflect on all the milestones that our customers have inspired us to achieve. There have been too many to list.
But we have not been resting on our laurels. 2008 has seen a tremendous crop of new BOXX products, designed to save you time, increase the quality of your productions and, hopefully make your creative job more enjoyable: their names are redBOXX, vizBOXX, Special Edition 3DBOXX.
They were all on display at SIGGRAPH 2008.
Greener World Contest
BOXX was present in the following partner booths:
PNY Booth - An APEXX 8 served 3D renderings of a very large model of an aircraft with mental images reality server.
AMD Booth - 3DBOXX 7550 Series Workstation was on display.
Intel Booth - A Special Edition 3DBOXX with Quad Core Intel Xeon processors "performance enhanced" by BOXXlabs was display.

APEXX 8 superworkstation with Autodesk Showcase 2008
APEXX 8 is the best platform for running Showcase. Showcase can take full advantage of APEXX 8's 32 cores.
renderBOXX 10200 Series render farm with mental images mental ray and Vray running on Microsoft Server HPC 2008
Ten renderBOXX modules with 20 Quade Core Intel Xeon processors showed the power of bucket and distributed rendering.
3DBOXX 7550 Series Workstation with Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 64-bit, Autodesk Maya 64-bit & MUDBOX 2009
3DBOXX has the power to run alltoolsets at maximum performance.
NEW redBOXX RTX with Assimilate Scratch 3.9 - redBOXX RTX showed a conform workflow taking an offline EDL, importing it in Scratch and playing 4K RED ONE clips via SDI @ 2K realtime.
Rendering Drag Race: 3DBOXX vs. "Performance Enhanced" Special Edition - The power of the Special Edition was put to the test with a side-by-side rendering performance comparison using the CINEBENCH benchmark.
NEW vizBOXX with mental images RealityServer
vizBOXX demonstrated it is the best platform to create and deploy 3D web services for remote manipulation of 3D content with RealityServer.
