BOXX: Back in Time Contest

From the day it was founded in June 1998, BOXX Technologies has focused entirely on providing digital artists with computing tools that allows them to translate their creativity into incredible visual effects.

As BOXX celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, we are proud to have been part of a movement that has made such a mark on global culture. Our continued growth is just the reflection of the success of the members of BOXX user community, however big and small; incredibly talented professionals who have continuously raised the bar on the beauty, the realism and the sheer impact of visual effects.

Looking back, BOXX has been an ingredient in the making of many landmark productions starting with “Armageddon” in 1998, all the way to today’s “300”
—all created, at least in part on a BOXX Workstation or render node.

As part of our 10th Anniversary celebration, we want to take a walk down memory lane to celebrate the achievements of so many talented BOXX users and remember the influential films, advertisements, games, TV shows, motion graphics and music videos from the past decade that raised the bar for visual effects for our greatest enjoyment.

So, starting February 19th, we are running the “BOXX Back in Time” Contest, which will be a virtual treasure hunt with multiple chances to win prizes that should make even the most seasoned designer’s mouth water!

HOW THE CONTEST WORKS

From February through June 2008, the BOXX newsletter will include interesting questions that will provide clues to contest answers hidden on the BOXX Technologies web site (www.boxxtech.com).

Contestants are to find and click hidden answers embedded in images within the BOXX web site.  A total of ten answers will be embedded over the course of the contest that runs February 19-June 17, 2008.

Only registered guests of BOXX Technologies’ web site and newsletter are eligible to participate in the contest. When a contestant finds the correct thumbnail image on the BOXX web site and clicks on it, a pop-up window will indicate that it is the correct answer. Every correct answer/image will be automatically logged under the contestant’s registration name.

Contestants can join anytime during the contest period of February –June 2008. Past newsletter clues will be posted on the contest site so that everyone can still participate in the full contest, even if joining after February 2008.

Contestants who have correctly identified all ten images will be added to a winning pool, from which prize winners will be randomly drawn.
