iridas^® speedgrade^® and boxx

Film color grading and “finishing” in particular, is an intense process that requires a good eye and a very robust workstation architecture.  IRIDAS® SpeedGrade® is no exception here.
Iridas SpeedGrade requires very high performance storage to rapidly load thousands of high-resolution frames for color grading, rig removal, and final conform. BOXX has designed a workstation to specifically address these technical requirements for this pipeline.

BOXX RTX workstations are special versions of the classic 3DBOXX VFX workhorses with the addition of integrated, internal RAID-class storage. With multiple SATA or SAS drives generating very high data rates, the colorist has all the file I/O required to comfortably work with 10-bit, full, uncompressed HD, 2K, 2K stereo or 4K frames in full RGB color space. And with the the processing power of dual-processor quad-core CPUs and powerful pixel shader capabilities of NVIDIA Quadro FX graphics hardware, the BOXX RTX can reliably power the entire Speedgrade toolset yielding effortless interactivity and control for the artist.
